REGISTRATION DAYS

Registration days will be held for September enrolments on:
Friday 3rd July 2.30 - 8.00 p.m and
Saturday 1st August 2.30 - 7.00 p.m

If you come and register on these days + pay your fees at the same time you will receive a 10% discount from your term fees!!...

General Gymnastics Competition 25 April 2009

Abbey Gymnastics Centre hosted the 4th General Gymnastics Competition of the season on 25th April 2009. The host club were joined by clubs from Twisters (Londonderry), Shooting Stars (Eglinton) and Gazelle (Castlereagh).More than 70 gymnasts, both boys and girls competed in 3 levels of ability.
For many Abbey Gymnasts this was their first competition and all gymnasts performed well on each piece of apparatus.
In the Level 3 (7 &8years) category, Sam McCoo, who competed on 3 pieces of apparatus for the first time, executed routines very well and placed 1st on Floor, 1st on Vault and 3rd on Beam. In the same Level, Aoife Hayes placed 2nd on Floor. Ellen Cross also performed well on this...

2009 Displays

This years annual displays will take place from Monday 15th to Saturday 20th June. DE Photos will be there again this year to capture your special moments. This is an ideal opportunity to raise funds for the club by purchasing photos on the night.
We also would like to video our displays this year giving parents the opportunity to purchase a DVD of the night. If you know of anyone with experience in this I would appreciate if they could contact me.

ABBEY GYMNASTS EXCEL AT TONY BYRNE CUP

The City of Lisburn, Salto Gymnastics Centre hosted the first Tony Byrne cup on the 28 February 2009 for Womens’ Artistic Gymnastics. This competition displayed outstanding performances from gymnasts across the Provence. The competition was divided into 2 sessions. The early afternoon was dedicated to the floor and vault competitors (Level 5). This was followed by the 4 piece competition (Level 4 – FIG).

Abbey gymnasts showed further improvement by increasing their difficulty of routines since their success at the Winter Challenge in November 2008.
