Birth to Pre-school

Enhance your child's development! Little ones will have a great time exploring the world of gymnastics with you in our Centre. These sessions are 'drop-in' sessions, no need to pre-book. Just turn up, pay & join in!

Jumpin Jax

Pre-school (3-4 years)

Children participating in this class should be socially and physically ready to separate from parents. Children will enjoy building confidence and learning the fundamentals of gymnastics on the floor, with various circuits and on the balance beam, bars and vault. These sessions are carried out with a variety of gymnastics progressions, listening skills, body awareness and movement exploration on age appropriate equipment.

Bright Sparks

Primary 1-2 (3-4 years)

You will enjoy watching your child learn and have fun as they are taught gymnastics skills on all pieces of apparatus. Children will learn appropriate skill progressions on floor, vault, balance beam, bars and trampoline. These classes are for fitness and fun. Children may be selected from these classes to train in Advanced Recreation or Squad sessions.

Recreation

Juniors: P3-P7,  Seniors: Form 1+

These classes are based on fitness and fun and are suitable for complete beginners to those who have progressed through our pre-school and Bright Sparks programs. Children may be selected from these classes to train in Advanced Recreation or Squad sessions.

Advanced Recreation

Selection Only

These classes offer an extended program from our recreation classes and may give children the opportunity to compete at a local level (selection only).

Squads

Children will be selected from recreation classes who show exceptional commitment, determination and talent to become a member of one of our Squads. Gymnasts will initially train between 3 - 10 hours per week depending on age and level of ability.  Training hours will be increased or decreased depending on level of development.

Adult Classes

From aged 17-??? This is an ideal opportunity for adults to participate in gymnastics. It doesn't matter if you haven't been involved in gymnastics before, everyone has to start somewhere, you never know, you might find a hidden talent! Come along, join in the fun and improve your fitness levels! No need to sign up for a term! These classes are paid weekly!!!

Baby Massage

From age 6 weeks – crawling, these classes are very enjoyable for both parents and baby and offer many benefits such as aiding better sleep, relaxes and soothes, deepens bonding and breathing, relief from common ailments such as colic, reflux, constipation and teething.  Baby massage is a wonderful and special gift you can share with your baby.  Touch is your baby’s most developed sense at birth and through it you can communicate love, security and trust to your baby immediately.

Baby massage is great fun to learn and a brilliant way to meet other parents and spend special time with your baby.

 

Baby & Toddler Yoga

From age 3 months – 3 years (approx), these classes are lots of fun and offer many benefits for both parent and child.

Baby yoga classes are a fantastic way to support your baby’s development and improve muscle strength and tone, as well as helping them discover their own body’s abilities.  Parents also have the opportunity to practice gentle yoga stretches too which can help the body recover after birth. Yoga helps balance the body and mind and can help boost circulation and digestion, strengthens joints and muscles, and encourage removal of waste and toxins in the body.

Baby yoga sessions use fun rhymes and songs to help you learn the simple movements and help relax baby.

 

We're Moving!

Due to unresolved planning issues Abbey Gymnastics is currently seeking a new more suitable facility. We would like to quash all rumors regarding the financial affairs of the club. We are not going into receivership and our activities will re-commence as soon as more suitable premises are found.
